Operating during the graveyard hours, you will meet the inbound 53-foot commercial trailers arriving from fulfillment centers across the country, tasked with rapidly tearing down their contents to feed the hungry sorting lines. • High-Velocity Freight Teardown: Safely transition inside inbound semi-trailers to manually break down towering walls of stacked packages (fluid unloading) or utilize manual pallet jacks to extract shrink-wrapped pallets and gaylords (large corrugated bins) onto the dock floor.
• Conveyor Matrix Induction: Rapidly and methodically transfer unloaded packages onto the primary inbound conveyor belts. You must ensure packages are placed label-up and with proper spacing to prevent catastrophic jams deep within the automated sorting system.
• Nocturnal Dock Safety Protocol: Maintain absolute, uncompromising awareness of your dock perimeter. You must strictly enforce the "Circle of Safety," verifying that trailers are securely locked to the bay with glad-hands and wheel chocks before ever crossing the threshold in the dark.
