Position Brief: Overnight Structural Logistics Specialist

Within the Amazon Sortation Center ecosystem, the safe and secure transit of goods relies entirely on the structural integrity of our outbound freight. You must intuitively assess the size, weight, and crush-rating of each box, placing heavy items at the base and lighter items at the apex to ensure perfect structural balance.
• Nocturnal Freight Securing: Utilize heavy-duty industrial shrink-wrap dispensers to securely bind the completed pallets. You must apply appropriate tension to prevent any package shifting during transit, ensuring the pallet can be safely loaded via forklift or pallet jack without collapsing.
• Digital Placard Integration: Ensure perfect downstream routing accuracy by digitally linking the built pallet to the correct geographical destination. You will utilize handheld RF scanners to generate and affix a master routing placard to the shrink-wrapped unit before moving it to the outbound dock.
• Safe Material Handling: Operate manual pallet jacks to safely transport completed pallets weighing hundreds of pounds from the build zone to the designated staging lanes under artificial warehouse lighting, strictly adhering to pedestrian and equipment right-of-way rules.

The 3rd Shift Pallet Builder operates in the most physically demanding sector of the Sortation Center. Your 10-hour overnight shift will be spent in continuous motion—bending, lifting, twisting, and pulling.
